Adjustable wrench sizes: which length for which job
Adjustable wrenches run from 6 to 24 inches, and most buyers aren't sure what the number means. This guide explains which size suits which job, converts inches to millimetres, and lists the WYNNTOOLS and M.T.T. models in the catalogue with carton quantities for shops.
Size means overall length
An adjustable wrench is sized by its overall length, not by the jaw opening. An 8-inch wrench is about 200 mm long. WYNNTOOLS puts the length in millimetres in the item code, so WNS200A is 200 mm, while the M.T.T. brand lists inches.
A longer handle opens wider and gives more leverage, but the wrench gets heavier and harder to fit into tight spaces. Choose by nut size and working space rather than buying the biggest one.

How the models differ
Phosphated (codes ending A)
SK-55 steel with a phosphate finish, 150 to 450 mm. The basic line, available in almost every size.
Chrome (codes ending B)
SK-55 steel with a chrome finish, 150 to 600 mm. The only WYNNTOOLS line that goes up to 600 mm.
Polished black CR-V (codes ending E)
Chrome-vanadium (CR-V) steel in 250, 300 and 375 mm.
Cushion grip (codes ending F) and the W2914 mini
A cushioned handle for a better grip, C-ALLOY, from 150 to 375 mm. The W2914 is a 200 mm mini.
Grip with reversible pipe jaw (codes ending G)
The lower jaw comes out and reverses so the wrench can grip pipe. Available in 250 and 300 mm.

Phosphated SK-55 steel with ground jaws and a polished scale, from 6 to 24 inches.
For shops buying to resell
The "pack / carton" column comes from the catalogue. For example, 6/60 means 6 per pack and 60 per carton. The 375 and 450 mm sizes come 12 to a carton. The catalogue doesn't list carton quantities for the M.T.T. wrenches yet, so ask us.
